Shaykh Sayed Farūq Al-Hassani حفظه الله was born into a pious and righteous family and is a direct descendant of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
He pursued an LLB and embarked on a professional career at an international firm based in London. He held various positions, eventually becoming an Operations Director and Director of Law.
Parallel to his professional pursuits, Shaykh Farūq engaged in the study of the Holy Qur’an and Qira’ah under the tutelage of the late Shaykh Qari Hassan Makki رحمة الله عليه, from whom he received Ijazah (formal authorizations) in these subjects. He also dedicated his time to studying Arabic, Islamic Jurisprudence, History, and Hadith under the guidance of esteemed scholars from around the world, earning a number of Ijazahs along the way.
With a natural inclination toward Islamic Spirituality, at the tender age of 12 he formally became a student in Tasawwuf of the late Naqshbandi Shaykh, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Khan Mujaddidi رحمة الله عليه. With whom he maintained correspondence and was initiated into the dhikr and Muraqabah lessons of the path.
After the passing of Shaykh Dr Ghulam Mustafa رحمة الله عليه he took a series of teachers in the path of Tazkia and Ihsaan also known as Tasawwuf (Sufism) and was granted formal licences known as Ijazah for Baya’ah in order to train and develop other aspirants in the path of Purification of the Aqal (intellect), Qalb (spirtual heart) and the Nafs (carnal self). With emphasis and practical guidance on how to implement the sublime Sunnah of the Holy Prophet صل الله عليه وسلم in our lives. Thus drawing the love and eternal forgiveness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
He holds ijazah in the Naqshbandia, Suhuwardia, Chishtia, Qadiria, Rifa’ia and Shadhalia chains of Tasawwuf۔
He travels the UK and Abroad and delivers simple but meaningful talks on practical ways of drawing closer to Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
